Circle economy lived in many senses
The Glärnisch Textil cooperative gives a concrete answer to the contemporary demand to find the transition from questionable, wasteful forms of production and consumption to the careful form of the circular economy. At the center of this is the attitude to obtain and use materials and auxiliary substances that are naturally available, to process them into good, contemporary products that can comfortably meet everyday needs, and finally to completely and temporarily give the resources back to their origin without any damage and problems. This applies to materials as well as to production conditions, workers and - as long as they are part of our general economic and social system - finance. With its statutes and especially its mission statement, the Glärnisch Textil cooperative is closely committed to this sustainable view of things and new reality. What they and their contributors experience is a lot at once: question and answer, attempt and success, departure and fulfillment, challenge and enthusiasm.
Join and contribute to the glaernisch textile cooperativeOur Glärnisch Textil cooperative warmly welcomes individuals and corporates as active participants, strong contributors and creative partners. The flyer below still provides the initial big picture.

Combining the existing and the new to create vibrant, productive regions globallyThe cooperative has deliberately chosen its legal form in order to practice and live solidarity within a region - locally as well as globally, i.e. so-called "glocally". The canton of Glarus is the pilot region, where the Glaernisch Textile invites people to contribute to the shared future by bringing into the cooperative what is so difficult to hold and to develop on its own. The existing and the new shall complement each other, and new resources and forces are added to the existing ones whereever needed. In this way it may be possible to work with fresh strength and to be well positioned for the generations to come. Together, the cooperating parties thus determine the market for textiles, building materials, pulp and products developed from it, as well as energy and heat. Open the "Patchwork" brochure below to find out how this can work to the benefit of all involved.
